Customised modular enclosures to fit the end-customer’s specific requirements
The enclosures would have to withstand heavy weather conditions and high levels of UV radiation. Other requirements included the need to withstand 1500 volt DC installation and meet the IP66 standard. Lastly, but importantly, the modular design of Fibox’s enclosures would allow Birtes freedom in their own design.
For this project, Birtes wanted to make some changes to the enclosures. They sent their designs to Fibox, and Fibox’s production team made changes on their mold accordingly, manufacturing a specific enclosure to fit Birtes’s customer requirements.
Ongoing support and 2000 enclosures delivered on time

Fibox delivered 2,000 EKUN 180 T and EKTH 130 T enclosures with EKTZR accessories to meet the needs of the project. The enclosures were delivered in bulk, which simplified the logistics and reduced costs with 2–3 full truckloads delivered on time.
During the project, Birtes worked in close collaboration with Fibox across sales, marketing, customer service, and logistics teams. Birtes, their customer and the end user were all highly satisfied with the product quality and service from Fibox.
“There were no problems at all. Fibox understood the requirements of the project fast and were very direct on delivery times. Fibox was helpful and supportive throughout the project and did everything they could to support us and our customers. I was sure that if some problems occurred, Fibox would solve them,” Murat says.
The partnership looks towards global growth in the solar energy sector
In the three years since the partnership between Birtes and Fibox began, despite the pandemic and other global challenges, Fibox has become one of the well-known brands in the Turkish market in all of its product groups. This has been the result of successful projects, marketing strategies and mutual support. Birtes currently sells Fibox enclosures and participates in tenders and projects in mining, commercial building, and solar energy. Fibox has also established its own customer portfolio in Turkey.
For Birtes, this project was not only a successful one – it was a highly impactful project as it presents a big reference for the domestic market and foreign markets. Birtes is now using Fibox enclosures in combination with their engineering services also in the Netherlands and Germany.
Murat believes that the collaboration between Birtes and Fibox, especially in solar projects, will be beneficial for the future of both companies both in Turkey and globally: “We are a small family company but we are growing gradually with great support from Fibox. I believe that Fibox will continue to give that support. In a couple years time, I see Birtes and Fibox in a very good position domestically and globally, particularly in solar projects,” he says.
